Hey all, I'm a big hypocrite and you and I both know it. Admittedly I did say earlier that silhouettes aren't very good, but after watching this film, the idea for this box popped into my head, the front being almost exactly as visualised (a first for me). The title is sort-of hard to read, I admit that much, but I was going for a special/collector's edition feel so it should be fine from that angle.
I'm trying to make good use of the anime DVD template I made (available in the resources section) as well so that's a plus at the very least. Maybe my work is getting stale with the same vibe for all my backs for a while now. Who knows, leave a comment and let me know.

The Girl Who Leapt Through Time Box Cover Comments
Comment on Sarashi's The Girl Who Leapt Through Time Box Art / Cover.
I like it. As for the silhouette thing, I basically think it can work if you give it your own edge, and you try to make it look special. If you only slap a silhouette on top of a white background and call it a day, that's where it'll be wrong. Although, if you tend to use it a lot on designs, the idea can get boring after a while and the innovation that had in the beginning is now lost. At least that's what I think. Sorry for the (somewhat) long and unnecessary commentary on the topic.
The box it's quite good. I personally haven't seen the movie (mostly because I'm not into anime), but the design is attractive, and the structure, albeit simple, works quite nicely. Good job, Sarashi. :)

Very nice work there, Sara

It's fine the way it is but i think the front could benefit from some type of slight bright green/black gradient on the outer ring of the clock

Hmm, I gave it a quick test, and that seems like a rather radical change from the current muted atmosphere. Is there any particular reason why it should be bright, and why did you pick green of all colours?
[ Reply ]
@Sarashi just because it seems to be the most prevalent color on the back screenshots.

This is really nice. I especially love the back. I can see what you mean about the front, but I can't offer any solution because it looks good as it is too—especially at fullview.

I wanted to say, going off of what Martiniii said, maybe something like this? link

@lucidhalos this is better than what I had in mind but yeah. something like this

@Martiniii332 @lucidhalos Alright, I made an alternative version like you said. I'm not going to update because the update function of the site has a good chance of breaking the fullviews: link

@Sarashi I agree with the upload function having this problem, even though I believe after a couple of hours, the update version starts showing correctly, as it happened to me before.
I liked more this new version you made with the light green color. It's a nice touch
