So... what can I say. Its what I think a bluray case for a bluray release of Marble Hornets would look like. I'mma be honest, this was a really new experience for me- there's really not a lot of resources to use for a Marble Hornets related box, and it's a fairly obscure title to begin with.

For those who don't know- Marble Hornets is a free to watch Viral ARG- shot a lot like the Blair Witch Project and Cloverfield, but it's actually scary, and has an interesting plot. It's still ongoing.

The front was an idea I'd been screwing with when I thought about making a "Slender Man" game. I've worked on it since. The red tie is also supposed to look like the "Red Tower" from the series. SMILEFORTHECAMERA is a phrase used by the anonymous character known only by the name of TOTHEARK, whose motives are unknown. The X in the circle is the symbol of the Operator- the official name for "The Slender Man" in the series. I tried to use the shading on Masky's, you know, mask to look like slender man's chin.

Peter Travers did NOT review Marble Hornets. I grabbed the name last minute off of a nearby case for the dvd of "The Dark Knight". I tried to adapt the STAYHOME message from one of TOTHEARKS videos, I couldn't really make it look much better.

The white glow in between the front and back will be removed. I'm not sure who made the temp. (Anyone know?) Pulled the Masky image on the back from Entry 18, the Tim image on the back from Entry 17, the image of slender man (the right side of the suit, tall shadow dude) from Entry 29, the pic of tim on the left side of the suit from Entry 26, and the pic of Masky from google images.

Constructive criticism would be loved.

<3 Marble Hornets.
Season 2 has been such a cock tease so far.

Really digging the concept for the front, but I feel the screen shots and the glowy-ness kind of take down the creepy that Slenderman packs. It also took a second for me to realize Totheark was in the face on the front. The back has the same issue. You tried too much with it and it doesn't fit with the erie theme on the front. It looks like a misunderstood's teenagers MySpace back in 2007. It's a great idea, especially the front, I just think the atmosphere of the series wasn't captured correctly in full.

Alright, say I were to completely redo the box- would you have any suggestions on how one would go about doing the back? I see what you mean, I'm just wondering.

I tried to use the glow around Slendy's shoulder to "cut out" slendy from the background. I used it on SMILEFORTHECAMERA because it seemed to make it blurry. I guess you're right, if I did it correctly, I could probably do without the majority of the glow.

#3, It would be better highly distorted, like when the camera does whenever the Slender Man appears.

Not to be rude, #4, but can I ask what you mean by "it"? Are you saying I should distort the entire back? I don't understand what your'e saying.

#5, I meant that the series relies on visual effects to provide an atmosphere and that you should reflect this on the box. When the Slender Man appears, the camera distorts and the image screws up. I think this box would look better with those kind of effects.

Like Deathspawn, I think this has potential to be really good.
