Finished this one off a little while ago. Wanted to give it a 'cold' kind of feel, not necessarily representative of the game, but as an aesthetic representation of the season (it's already snowing here at home).
Modified version of my Anthology template. The image on the front is of a glass metroid, image on the back is the Bottle Ship, text is taken from the manual (edited a bit because, like the game's script, the original text was wordy and awful).
I think it would look a lot better, and a lot 'colder' with a blue tint to it, even if you just mixed some blue in with the already purple color scheme. Just my two cents haha, it looks good bro
Thanks for all the positive feedback and faves, guys :)
I've updated the box, so the full-view should be less...enormous. All this time I've just been converting my big presentations into PNG or JPEG files and uploading them, making them almost too huge to see properly. So I've shrunken the presentation down a bit. The massive fullview is still on vers. 2, but I think this is probably better.
I'm really excited that some users like you are trying to break the limitations of what a "standard" box is, but sometimes the landscape boxes just kind of rub me the wrong way. It's cool that you're not being restrained by what's common, but at the same time I don't always agree with breaking normality just for the sake of breaking normality. I'm very torn on the subject.
Anyway, I really like it, especially the simple cover with the metroid on it, but why have two versions? Especially when the only difference is a quick color change.
#12, I only did a landscape cover because...well, I don't know, thought it would look better in this case. It wasn't a design choice I particularly thought about, I just sorta flipped the template and ran with it. I tend not to stick to one way of doing things for too long.
And yeah, the blue is there cos del and my bf asked for it. No real reason.
I have to say, this is growing on me, and it may be the blue update you added. The purple colors tend to work well with Other M, but the blue is a much better representation of the theme. The frozen Metroid in the center is an excellent touch, one of my favorite parts of this actually.
Your work with textures is really nice, really pushes that cold feeling you wanted. I like that you went for a custom logo too, since the official - while awesome - wouldn't have fit too well here. And another thing, I'm usually not a fan of that ESRB rating you've made, but it works well with a game like Metroid.
Amazingly amazing. Nice fix on the logo, looks much better.

Okay, here's Metroid Two-Ways, purple and blue. Same on the printable. Let it not be said that I don't take suggestions :)

#15, Well, I'm glad I could make another Metroid box to your liking :)

I think I just might print this out on some nice paper and use it in my sleeve. It's that damn good.
