Why does nobody like Paint, I use it for my boxes and get away with it, PS i don't recommend Paint.NET, find other program :) Nice first, could do with a back though :)
#5, You don't get away with it. Your quality suffers because you use it. I have seen great MS Paint work before, but I wouldn't categorize your work as such. Your work comes out looking bland, and it's obvious that you aren't using a program with the capability to edit that modern image editing software is capable of. That's why people don't like Paint.
#4 has it right, get some better software and better images to work with. If not Paint.NET, then GIMP. Those programs are free, and so much better than MS Paint.
#10, That's fine, you just made it sound like they would be fine with MS Paint. A big part of it is that it is confusing to jump from something like MS Paint to something like Photoshop, GIMP, or Paint.NET. I remember the first time I tried Photoshop I was so confused and did some really lame stuff.
That's where tutorials come in. Whether you use videos off youtube or read them and follow along, tutorials will be indispensable if you plan on learning these programs.
#11, or you just mess around a lot, that will help you familiarize yourself with these types of programs.
Side note, learning these programs is a cool thing to have when applying for jobs later (Im a co-op/university student) and anything that makes you stand out against the pack in terms of knowledge of applicable software helps, so learning a better program is not a total waste of time
Your interest is appreciated, but the quality of this box is not along the lines of what we would like in our database here.
Please check out the forums here, or a number of places on the internet that offer tutorials for using your graphic design software more effectively, practice what you've learned, and then post your work in the forums so others artists can give you suggestions on what you can do to make it better.
Try to use something more "official" (official logos for example) and High Quality Renders. Try to operate as I do: Think of a cove, than think how does it suit on the game (not on the box, but on the gameplay, it's called "Pathos", I think), you have to feel the game, to express what the game is and why to buy it, (that's why you need a back, too), with the right images choice. That's why my first box was sh*tty, I couldn't expose what the game was, just renders and brushes.
P.S.: I'm way too excited, this evening i'll buy the first chapter of this game.
This is My First ever Box hope People like it

(Make an account first)
Material sites:

(Use Researcher function to find HQ images)

Logo renders (Transparent BG)
Search google images for the logo you want, say "Resident evil 5" and put .png at the end of it.
Also, check the resource forum here:

I hope that helps and send me a message if you need any more help.

You should get some help from your friend 007. It could be a lot worse though.

I'm probably wasting my time, but I tried.

#9, K, but I never understand how Paint.Net is any good, I've got it, but you can't do anything on it. I recommend using somethingg more pro. - Gimp.
