Quite a few style choices here, but I won't go into details. It's meant to be a special edition, of sorts. I decided to go for a different approach than to use the usual art featured on most boxes, I'm satisfied with the result.
Please leave some feedback and thanks for viewing.
That's supposed to be John Marston on the front right? It just doesn't seem to fit the game at all. I think the colors, texture, and layout are all great and unique, but I really don't like that artwork on the front.
Really nice man. I really wish that you would go back to your old temp. Cause this one looks weird. I mean your last temp stood out from everyones on the website.
#2, glad you like the rest. It's actually official artwork for the game, I believe. I think it's possibly a promo piece? I'm not sure. I think it adds to the 'special edition' feel, though.
#3, thanks. I was actually considering to use it on this box. The red template would have matched and would've looked fairly good. The main reason I didn't is because I've gotten bored of it. The transition from my old style template began with my 3D experimentation on my earlier Conan the Barbarian, PSP and music boxes. I've just moved on from that template. The Digipak style is just more presentable.
#4, Oh I didn't know it was actual artwork, it's quite different than the rest. And it does add a new feel to it that distinguishes it from other RDR boxes.
I love that artwork on the front, looks 10x better than the all the art you usually see for this game. Great job with the actual case design too, liking the colors especially.
Back is a bit generic though, still not enough for me to not fav.
This is so cool, I love this as I really feel it capture RDR. I love the colors and the art you used and I love how unique you managed to make it. Instead of making this game look like GTA of the wild west, you made it look like a game of its own. I really just love this box, I don't know 100% why but something about it just really makes it awesome in my mind's eye. This deserves to be in the HOF. Printable please.
#9, it's from deviantART? I just snagged the source art from a gaming blog on google. I assumed it was promotional art. If it is on deviantART, they could well be an artist for the game anyway. I've seen a few famous game artists on deviantART, like Andy Park etc.
Thanks for the feedback everyone. Keep it coming. Also, I've added a printable, although I'm not 100% on the dimensions but you can fix that when printing.
This is absolutely inspirational, mixing your own variation of template + official artwork + fanart, btw - It's by Patrick Brown from DeviantART, he's really good at making these 'cartoon' type versions of his favourite games, take a look on his site, there's some really good ones from his Rockstar games admiration. +FAV
Thanks for the great feedback everyone. Also, thanks to the mystery man from deviantART for creating such awesome art. If someone could find a link to him I'd be grateful.
