I saw the logo last night and thought it was just awesome. I started this last night. Started again this morning around 7:00am and worked non-stop till 3:00pm. I am really excited about this box and the game. Some inspiration I used was from my old Super Mario Galaxy box where I didnt make a back and only had a front.
Awsome, reminds of the (official?) I posted in the thread just a while ago.
And then I hedn't even seen this render, though I had looked close to all the pics I hade come across O.o
Thought I prefer boxes with temps like the others (unless it's a CE/Slipcover) but I'm not sure if this'd work with a temp.
Faved anyway.
EDIT: Yeah, I kinda agree with #5.
I'm sure I've used the same space/star overlay on my Devin Townsend ZTO box. Anyway, this is a good box. A lot of the Mario Galaxy ones look very similar. I just like the airy clean feel that this one has.
Now that's what I'm talking about. Nice box jevan, I think I like everything about it except that I think if at the bottom of the back, where the info is, you put a black to transparent gradient or a black box so that the info is on a black background. I think it'll also add some nice contrast. Just a matter of opinion, otherwise, very nice.
I love it, man. But the back is a bit underwhelming, mainly because the design/layout is a bit generic. Also, I'm starting to grow a little tired of your "template" if you could call it that. I'd like to see what this would look like with an official Wii template and a normal sized spine. Maybe you could upload it to photobucket or something and post it in the comments or even forum. Besides that, it's top quality stuff.
#31, Thanks. But I actually like this temp more than the official. I can work with more stuff. The official has the stupid back which comes down and cuts off the logo or artwork. That bar can easily mess up the whole design so thats why I stick with this temp.
#29, you must be new here, a lot of the most deserving ones are Wii games, because the template allows for more room for art. However, Jevangod's JP N64-like template provides even more freedom.
i love the box, faved, what program should i start using to make boxes? ive asked others but i want you opinion. just comment on my profile to tell me, anyone else can suggest too, :)
#49, My suggestion is.... just fool around in photoshop. Believe me I use to be terrible at it. Than I started to fool around and eventually learned alot. Theres usually a class you have to take to become good at photoshop but most of the people here on VG including myself just fool around in it and got the hang of it. Sort of like riding a bike.
I wish you had used a real Wii template, but it's still really nice. Good use of the art. Probably should have used a different background, though... one that doesn't blend in as much. Either way, really nice.
#53, Yea. Well I dont like the regular temp since you get cut off by the bar. So I made up my own custom one where its more free. Yea the background Im gonna change that up as soon as my laptop gets fixed.
Wow, that didn't take long. At least it looks pretty great.

#15, Nahh. I actually per fer this temp I made. You get to work with so much more. The actual Wii temp you get cut off by the wii bar at the top.

This looks really good. It's got just enough similarity to the first SMG, but it's got enough new content and colors to signify that it's a sequel.
Very well done, Jevangod.

#5, If your in space your going to see millions of stars. So it wouldnt make sense for me to show them in space with only a couple of stars.

Your "template" is more like what Mad Spike used to do with all console games a long time ago.
Nice box though, like how you even blended color in to Yoshi to make him look like he's over that red planet.

#36, good point here's a suggestion to make the box better ooops I can't think of any thats how good it is

Oh my stars! This box rocks! Just beautiful, man. Nintendo should steal this one from you! lol

I am not new here. I just beleive that very few Wii games deserve HOF.

#41, Whats that suppose to mean?

#41, I am not sure what angle you are coming from. Do you have something against the Wii template? Or the games of the Wii?

#43, Im not sure either.
