For my second box, I decided to try something different. First I sketched out a full boxart for Yoshi's Island Wii. Then I colored it, and scanned it to my computer. Last, I added a template and some screen shots. This project took quite a while, but I am very please with the end result. The only thing is, I miscalculated the size of the back, so some of Yoshi's legs got cut off.
Credits go to Del337er for the template, which I edited to my preference.
Enjoy! and please look past the coloring issues, I haven't colored by hand in years :)
Well obviously this was not as good as i thought it was. Next box, i will do an official game, and make it much better than this. Sorry for the letdown guys.
Wow, thank you both very much for the compliments. The only thing i don't like about this box, is the fact that things look so much darker on paper. I tried to lower the Brightness, raise the Contrast, but that didn't seem to help much. Other than that im very pleased with this.
Also i just want to thank you all for your support so far. You have really inspired me, and i plan on doing many more boxes for this site.
Dude, this is amazing! I like how you captured the true feeling of Yoshi's Island- Bright and cheerful, also incredibly awesome.
The way the logo blends from light to dark from top to bottom is pretty awesome. Doing that just right is quite difficult with color pencils and you did it just awesomely.
The backgrounds are just awesome as well. Well done front and back.
#25, Now this, this is fantastic, i love hand drawn boxes, i don't know why but i do.
You sir, are without doubt one of the brightest newcomers to this great site, both contributions you have made have been outstanding.
Good luck in the competetion, hopefully i might come up against you, and you have earned a fav from me.

Fantastic stuff. Lovely and original, while other hand-drawn boxes can come off messy, its good to see a neat, well presented one.

#12, This was NOT a letdown at all. The most original drawn box I've seen. I can tell a lot of effort was put into this as well, great job!
I would love to see more boxes like this from you.

Really nice work. The part I like best is how you managed to capture the Yoshi's Island vibe with the colored pencil work here.
Very creative and fun my friend. :)

Whats with the bluray logo on the back? Anyways, great box!
P.S: You need a spine.

Your words are flattering, thank you. Yes i hope i do well in the competition, but Phoenix is also a bright newcomer, so it will be a tough match.
