My entry for the 1st Annual VGBA Cup, Round 1. I feel very attached to this box, and I hope you guys like it. I also have a color version of this box, which I may upload later. I figured that a gritty box like this one would fit the desaturated theme of the competition.
First off, pretty much 50-70% of this box was mafe from scratch, and that includes the newspaper headlines on the back that I made while I had no internet connection, the Batman drawing on the front (which sparked my reinterest in making this kind of box) and a lot of the teture effects. Otherwise, I essentially just had fun drawing on all the pictures. One pic I want to point out is on the front, there’s a picture of Christian Bale, and I drew a batman mask. What inspired me? Well, it was a Daredevil graphic novel that had a photo of the lawyer who was the Daredevil, and had a red mask drawing around it. I thought that was cool.
On the front, you’ll notice the logo isn’t the traditional Batman logo, but I didn’t want the logo to be distracting of the overall theme of the bo, so I made it look like writing, the same font that I used for the name credits on the front. Speaking of the names on the front, I still didn’t want anything to distract on the front of the box, I did a hit list thing that crossed out the people who were returning for the third movie, and not the speculated people coming in for the third film because it looks cool. Again.

Why you made everything black & white? Shouldn't template still be in color?

I like the layout quite a bit, actually. Not a huge fan of the Batman drawing, but good job.

If you hadn't drained this of color, it would be a million times better. You sorta killed it by entering it into this comp.

When I saw the original in the forums it blew me away...this doesn't have that same effect.

I like this a lot and i like the idea.
There's a few things wrong with the description though.
The part about the Joker and Harley doesn't end properly, the paragraph is cut off.
And the name you have put for Riddler is wrong. His name is Edward Nigma i.e E.NIGMA.

#7 The paragraph is cut off because it's part of a newspaper article that's been cut off. And Silentman answered the second one. I did my research.
And to everyone who said they liked this in color, I'll upload the color one after this comp. Don't worry, I still have it.

And Tinkertoy, I handdrew that pic. (I suck don't I? :P)

Good job! It has this viral look we all remember from TDK.

I think the Harley/Catwoman/Riddler manips originated from link

I think you should take the black and white off the box and bring color back into it. It looks really really dull

#15 That's also what I thought. And thanks for the link. That is where I got it.

#16 You may be right, but I won't upload the color version until Round 1 is over.
